The Book Launch and Conversation with Authors event, organized for the BAUHAUS_100 + TR compilation book, published by TED University Faculty of Architecture Publications on March 2020, took place on Zoom on Thursday, November 26, 2020. In addition to the presentations of the authors, the event provided an environment of mutual dialogue with questions and answers from our readers and students. The BAUHAUS_100+TR, is bringing together 16 articles from 18 authors, including Jale N. Erzen, Bilge İmamoğlu, Canan E. Ünlü, Nur Ayalp, Berin F. Gür, Onur Yüncü, Sevil Enginsoy Ekinci, A. Elif Yabacı, Mesut Dinler, Baykan Günay, Şaha Aslan, Ferhan Kızıltepe, Elif Ezgi Öztürk, A. Derin İnan, Güneş Duyul, Başak Uçar and Ali Cengizkan. The photo-essay from Esatcan Coşkun and the graphic work of Sonat Özcivanoğlu & Utku Coşkuner, add to trigger fresh discussions on

Bauhaus from the Turkish geography.

Bauhaus_100+TR is a compilation that aims to collectively share the evaluations, opinions and accumulations of full-time and part-time faculty members and research assistants of TED University Faculty of Architecture on "Bauhaus 2019". The topics cover a range from the reflections of Bauhaus on design education in Turkey, to reflections, effects and transformations of Bauhaus on Turkish design and Turkish art; to Bauhaus in detail and in interaction; the Bauhaus and criticism: history, design and traces; the Bauhaus in the poetical approaches of Turkish architects. The book also raises critical readings on the contradictions between art and design, the architectural legacy of the Bauhaus building, while revisiting the pedagogical

influences of Bauhaus in Turkey, through schools of arts & crafts, basic design (Vorkurs) education, and experimental design exercises; the role of women and gender issues in the Bauhaus, and discussions on the conservation of the modern heritage; the idea of crafts and the

practice of photography.
